    Jack Gets His Summer Haircut

I took Jack to a new place to get his hair cut today. Here he is before

    And here he is after

They said they were giving him the normal airedale but but I have a feeling they don't know what that is. They didn't leave him a beard and the hair on his hips should be longer. But for him this will be a great summer haircut. He hates to be brushed and he gets so hot so easily!

Boy does he look HAPPY! That new do must make him feel better!
Even if it's not the typical airdale cut, I think it looks adorable on him...he looks like a puppy

Jack is adorable. Tell him that Simba says hi.

I'm going to admit something, Diana. We tried to give Honey a haircut ourselves on Sunday. Needless to say, I won't be posting any Honey pictures anytime soon. The clippers we bought gave out before we were halfway finished. She looks horrible!!! , but yet beautiful in a Honey sort of way.

I think Jack's haircut looks great! And he will be so comfortable!! And as Helen says, "it will grow back". Thank goodness!!!

I gave Taggert and Dazzi their summer haircuts last week. They certainly don't look like Jack's - they are a few places that I got a little close. I will try to post some of those tomorrow. Taggert changes color after he is trimmed and I think Dazzi always looks younger.

Honey has the fur of a sheep, for sure, or worse.......

We need the professional shears and if we attempt to clip her again, we will definitely invest in the right tools I'm thinking that the $40+ charge to trim her down, last year, was not so unreasonable! LOL!!!!! She is "wooly". Nothing like Zipper or Lilly who have long feathers and fur, but their hair is much thinner than Honey's. No more $32 special Target clippers for sure! It will be a much better set next time, if we're going to try and trim her down ourselves. I dare not post any of this on my Golden Retriever boards because I will be beat up terribly! Most of them don't believe in trimming up the Goldens. Of course, they don't have Honey with her clumps of wooly fur, either!!!!
