    spayed kitty skin

why do cats, most cats get that skin hanging down after they grow up when theyve been spayed? ppl keep telling me shes fat, in which she is not, shes 8 lbs. i think she needs more, lol. its like shes got saggy bewbies but had no kittens. i think she wants kittens tho. and i wanted kittens, but theres too many kittys that dont have homes. but, back to topic. how many of you have spayed kitty skin? is there a way they can work it off? or is it there for good?

I don't think it's anything to worry about.
It doesn't mean they are over weight.
    Bella's got a little 'pooch' now, she's 2yrs old.

I would definitely not have them 'work it off' as they are not as obsessed with body image as many humans are.

Julie is like that. She only weighs 11 lbs, and she is a good sized kitty, she isn't a big eater really (and she eats weight management formula food), but she has the flabby belly which makes her look more 'plush' than she really is. I just figured she took after me...haha.

All 4 of mine have that. Its completely normal and does not indicate she's fat. Abby is a mere 6 pounds, Harry is a huge 14 pounds, but active and solid muscle. Allen -- well he's different - he's 20 pounds of fat and his tummy sways when he runs.

I think all S/N cats have that, all mine do and Chesters is worse than the girls! It is a pretty normal thing and has nothing to do with how active they are or what they weigh.

I've often wondered the same thing and as a joke I was going to ask my veternarian if he could give my Annie a tummy tuck, he would get a good laugh out of it for sure.

A friend of mine has two Ocicats and their pooches almost drag on the floor.
    It's always been that way.
