Pit bulls are aggressive and vicious

At least according to my Social Psych book. We've all discussed this before because there are many sweet pitbulls here, but it really ticks off us dog owners when we see stuff like this..

WHAT THE **** IS WRONG WITH THIS WORLD. They're teaching this to people?

YES! Lets teach the world to be more ignorant than it already is. This makes me furious.

This doesn't really make me angry. It makes me sad. Pitties around the world don't stand a chance with this kind of propaganda floating around.

Well, I risk being flamed, but, I've seen a lot of pit bulls that look like that. But, I've seen a lot of other breeds that look horribly mean, as well, as well as meeting some incredibly sweet pit bulls. It's just sad to see that kind of thing in textbooks.

I see another dog's nose at the bottom of that picture where it's zoomed out more. Obviously that dog is lunging/snarling at the other dog. Now, pits HAVE been bred to be dog-aggressive, and I DO think they have more of a chance to be aggressive towards other DOGS if they are not properly socialized as pups. However, the casual uneducated person just looking at that photo is only going to see one thing: The vicious pit bull.

I've seen PLENTY of agressive pitbulls, but I've met even more sweet and loving pitties. I adore pitbulls and actually almost took one home the other night when a man got arrested.

Kisses for Maximus on that cute wittle nose.
