Feeling crafty

I was feeling crafty yesterday and made this wreath for the front door. It is made of kitty prints that I made beds from


Hard to tell that the fabric has kitties unless they are very tiny - so I added a kitty bow:

Want to make one? It is so easy that I am embarrassed You just get one of those straw wreaths from the craft store and cover it with saran wrap. Mine was a 12 inch wreath. Take scraps of fabric and cut them into 4 inch squares with pinking shears. Then, using a phillips screwdriver - just poke the squares in at the center - using the screwdriver. The plastic wrap and straw keeps them in. Keep poking until the straw is all covered. It takes about a yard to a yard and 1/2. This is really pretty in Christmas colors with metallic fabric poked here and there for some sparkle The whole project is finished in about an hour.

If any of you make one - will you post your pictures here?? I would love to see them. People will think you did some fancy sewing and never guess how easy this is!!! I think it would be great for an age like Brownies, too
