A sad day for the catnapper home

The much beloved basket went to the RB today.

I know it seems too soon, but I got new baskets to fill the void left behind by the basket. Besides, I hit a really good sale -- 4 baskets for $34

I brought the baskets home and the crew had to check out the largest newcomer.

I put two of the smaller ones in the same place as the RB basket.

Thus far, only Abby has taken the time to get aquainted with the smallest members of the new basket family.

I decided to move the largest one downstairs in front of the fireplace. This seems to have confused Harry
Hey ma, wasn't there a basket here a while ago?

Pouncer has given his approval of the new large basket
Are you going to keep this empty? I sure hope so! You know how I like big empty baskets

Allen jumped in to check out the newbie

As soon as Pouncer noticed I was happy about him accepting the new basket so readily, he was outta there!

and he chased Allen upstairs to Allen's bunk bed for a nap - its been a sad day. They need to grieve in their own way

Hay Guys, all those kitties at RB need baskets too!! Think of how new and comfy that basket is now at RB and all the kitties that were happy to welcome it there!

OH, I am crying here. Not THE basket! It CAN'T be gone......it was so young.

How can those cats be tesing out new baskets in the wake of such disaster?? I thought cats were more loyal than that. The least they can do is wear a black arm band.

Play hard at the bridge little basket.
We're so glad that you adopted 3 more. Even though they can never replace it in your heart, the 3 new ones are lucky to have a forever home!

You're an evil woman. I've said if before ...

I can't believe that basket, which gave us many hours of beautiful pictures, is gone.

    THAT'S NOT FUNNY!

    I read your subject line and got a lump in my throat . . . all I could think was . . . oh no, who could it be . . . no, it couldn't . . .

    OK, I'm over it now.

Those are beautiful new baskets and sounds like you got a real deal!!! Good idea for a kitty bed!

Ok, it's late for me, I've just got back from a party and had a few beverages, and the first thing I'm thinking is. I didn't think catnapper had a cat called "basket"? My cue to go to bed, and yeah nice baskets.

Sorry everyone for making your hearts stop for a moment. I never anticipated that reaction. Forgive me? I promise to be good from now on.

Debbie, the basket has a place of honor in the basement for my clothes that need to be drycleaned. Been meaning to get a basket for that anyway.

Rie Rie, got the baskets at Sams Club. I looked for them online to give you a link, but it seems its an in-store item only.
