Do You Include Your Pet in Your Family Photo?

Because there's only two of us in our "family", or maybe it's because I hate to be photographed, we have no "family portraits". Flipping through my pictures you quickly realize our "family photos" are of the CATS!

4Feline, my family has also never done a family portrait. Brazilians don't usually have family portraits done, I am not sure why. I do, however have a framed picture of Yertle on top of my TV, I'm looking for a nice frame for a picture of Charlie, I carry pictures of them in my bag and I have a pic of Charlie by my desk at work.
I like to show them off every chance I get.

I have found pictures of the family pets in photos from several previous generations. Sometimes they are in the group shot, sometimes they have their own solo image, but they're in my great-grandmother's albums!

    Karen, that's so cool!
This poll got me thinking...I think I'm going to have a falily portrait done of Charlie, Yertle and me. Maybe some future relative will find it just like you found your family's pet portraits.

We don't have any family pictures either but if we did I'd want Daisy to be in it. She is part of the family after all!

We go to Idyllwild in the mountains yearly on Jan 29 to celebrate my husbands birthday and also to watch the superbowl. Every year we go there it includes our whole family. We have a photo taken on the front porch of the cabin which includes all the humans and six Schnauzers. Our Son sets the camera on automatic and runs to get a place to sit before it goes off. It's a lot of fun

This brings up something that has been mentioned here on the boards before. Anyone brave enough to post their picture with their pet/pets? I don't have one of myself right now with all three, but I'll see if I can have one taken and post it. I think it would be fun to "meet" everyone on Pet Talk since we live too far from each other to meet in person!

Another D/FW person! Hi! You've posted 29 times but this is the first I have seen of you! I think Rottielover is from Fort Worth, but that's only a guess and I don't even remember now what made me come to that conclusion. One person from Bedford posted one time but then never came back, and Aly is from central Texas. Of course, I'm from Euless and Spencer is from Lewisville, as you can see from out profiles. Welcome to Pet Talk, and I hope to see alot more of your posts!

Pam, what a great photo, I laughed when I saw Bella, that's because I have to hold daisys head up too, Bella is so big and so beautiful, how do you keep her so snow white.
I am so glad to meet you even if it is on the internet

Pam, I'm so happy to see a pic of you and Bella together! You guys both look great. For some reason in that pic, Bella reminds me of Clifford, the big red dog!

Jackie...I had to laugh too. Daisy is not looking straight ahead in your picture either. (See Jackie's photo under Dog General...Topic, Pam's Idea..Family Photos With Our Dogs). Daisy's little black profile with her head turned is so cute! I'm going to try and get a picture of myself with both cats to post too. Come on everyone. Join in!
