    My Gidget

Got home last night and someone (wasn't sure who at first) had thrown up in a few places. Hubby was home before me so he cleaned it up. I feed my 4 kitties every morning and night, because I know there likes and dislikes. Anyway, everyone ate well except Gidget, she didn't eat, so we are guessing she is the one that threw up. She was quiet most of the night, she slept in her little kitty bed on the big bed with us which she likes to do. This morning she bathed and ate a little of her breakfast, she still seemed a little quiet, but she had some "crunchies" and some chicken as a special treat. She gobbled that up. When I left she had gone under the bed, which they all do from time to time. She seems OK, I hope and pray that she is, but if everyone could just think good thoughts for her I'd appreciate it. I don't have any human children, just my furry ones and I worry myself sick over them. It is also her birthday and her brother Garfields (Rusty and Fluffy had their birthday on May 1st), so I want her to be well to celebrate.[IMG] I need to take some new pictures, but this is a cute one of her. By now you probably know that it is not a matter of IF a cat is going to throw up, but only WHERE, WHEN and HOW MUCH.

Sure you need to keep a watch to see if she is sick. But I'm convinced that cats get "colds" too. Their digestive system seems to work equally well in both directions. Reverse gears is used as a protective measure to get rid of anything in the system that might not set well.

First thing, and this is for the newer folks here, don't make a big fuss over puke. Cats are emotional. They get embarassed. The fury of rushing for the mop and broom is one thing, but the smell of cleaning fluids can make the toughest on 'em run for under the bed. After that they know that thaey caused all this. Expect sulking.

We will keep good thoughts, and prayers, for Gidget and you too.
