Taking The Girls To The Kennel :(

I am getting ready to take Katie and Tori to the doggy kennel. Alden and I are going to the NASCAR race in Bristol, TN and since our son is going with us we have to take the girls to a kennel. It is a wonderful facility and not your average kennel and the girl's have been there before for doggy day care. They are familiar with the surroundings and the people who will be taking care of them. I know that the girls will probably miss us but I'm also certain that they will have a blast and be well taken care of. So why do I have this ache in the bottom of my stomach. It is just killing me to take them there and leave them for two nights. I have never had to do this before. Usually its just me and Alden going somewhere and Brandon is home to take care of Katie and Tori. I know my feelings are normal but I can't help but feel stressed and anxious.

    Thanks for listening!

Aww Robin. They'll be fine and think of how many kisses you'll get when you pick them up! That's always worth it.

I think it is normal. So far I haven't had to kennel Gracie but I did RB Mercedes one time..and she was fine..but you have that separation anxiety just the same.

Well, Katie and Tori were happy as could be when we arrived. They know the place and know that it means fun time. Patty (owner) had all the other dogs in their rooms and Katie and Tori got to run and play in what I call the gym all by themselves. They didn't even notice that I was gone....lol. The house sure does seem quiet right now though. Gosh, I already miss them.

Here is the website of the place they are staying at. It is called Positively Gone To The Dogs.

No worries Robin...they will be just fine! It sounds like they'll have a blast and come home "pooped" from playing the whole time! You two have fun at the race!!!!

Aww It is going to be hard dropping them off but I'm sure they will have a great time. It is good that they have been there before and it is a familiar place.

Have fun, and try not to worry about your girls too much

Your girls will have a wonderful time - they have each other! Whenever we go away for a few days, I find myself seeking out strangers dogs to pet them - I guess I need a canine-fix!
    Have fun at the races!

I think it's only a natural feeling. Carole struggles to relax at times if we are away for any length of time, so relax, they are well taken care of and enjoy your time.
