Thread: -Something is wrong with Lexi!!!- HELP!

  1. -Something is wrong with Lexi!!!- HELP!

Ok, it sounds like the exact sane thing that happened to Kiara! Lexi is bending her tail in wrong places and chasing it too much. Everytime she sits, she yelps and runs away! It has been causing her so much pain!

I never thought this would happen to Lexi! I am also in tears! Her yelp is so high-pitched and scary! Does anybody think it could be the same thing?

Its also hooked at the end, which isn't normal, and she is carrying it high(not tucked) and it hurts her. She doesn't bite her tail when she chases it so I don't know what it could be. I tried giving light pressure to figure out and she tries to bite me when I squeeze what must be a tender area.

Please help us out! I am scared!

is she acting like it is REALLY, seriously hurting her?

If it is, then Usually you can page the main vet, and they will get back to you right away. When Baybi ate pointsettia, I called the vet and they were closed. But they said on the message, "If this is an emergency, please page the main vet at ------" (--- representing the #s) After I paged the vet they called me right back and told me what to do!

    Good luck!

Emergency Vets are open during the hours that normal vets are closed. Check the phone book for emergency vet phone numbers.

  11. I woke up this morning and it was the usual routine. Hyper, crazy, happy puppy. But when I sat down, she went back to chasing and yelping. I think that in the morning she wasn't concentrating on her pain.

I am crying again right now, it hurts me to see her in so much pain! I am calling the vet, my mom said its just a tail, I can't believe that!

Again, thank you everybody, keep those prayers coming! And more advice to maybe keep her tail supported would help too!

  14. Well, she seems to be doing better, but she's biting more then ever. So I don't knwo if that better or worse. If it starts to get really bad, we are going in for emergency, so far, we just got off the phone with the vet. He said it sounds like it could be a sprained tail(like Kiara) and just to make sure she isn't hurt anymore. Playing doesn't really matter for her because she can't have toys anyways.

But he said, is shes biting me and she never does, then its probably broken, and he said, it could hurt her for carrying her tail high, but she may still be trying to provoke dominance even if it hurts.

Please, please help us out! I am now in tears once again, and I can't imagine anything else happening to her!

AWWWW!! Poor little Lexi girl!! We are praying for her swift recovery and Mom's too. Thank goodness for PT. Without it, I would never have known these babies tails could break or sprain so readily. I keep a closer watch on the girls now in case I see something that could put them in danger. Who would ever have thought that this could be pretty common? Hugs and kisses for little dollface Lexi!! We are keeping you both in our thoughts and prayers!! Please keep us posted.
