    Today was my lucky day!

At work I found one of the Winsonsin state quarters with the misprint! I think I'm going to hold onto it, instead of selling it. Maybe in a few years the value will go up. Does anyone know anything about coin collecting? Would I be better off selling it now?

Here's a link in case you don't know about the quarter. They have been showing up in Tucson and in San Antonio.

The quarter I have is the one with the extra husk pointing up. I'd post a picture but I can't seem to take one good enough that you can see the extra husk.

Thanks for the great signature Kay!

Ok I made another attempt at taking a picture. Hopefully you can see it, I drew an arrow pointing at the extra leaf.

I have to laugh because no one has responded to this thread.

That is because everyone has run to their purse, coin jar, pockets etc. to check if THEY have any Wisconsin Quarters.

Hmmm, I think I would hang on to it. Google is telling me that some people are fetching $600. for it...........but I bet that price will go up since there are so few minted incorrectly.

1200 of one version and 2000 of the other.

    Congratulations!

    I heard about this . . . but haven't seen a Wisconsin quarter yet.

    Lucky gal!

    Congrats!

I'd definitely save it for a rainy day!

    Congrats on a nice find.

I heard about those and my husband has been almost anal about checking every quarter we get in hopes of finding one.

It's hard to predict what the value will do in the fuure - but if you don't need the money now, I would suggest keeping it for a while.

Thanks Kay for my great sig & avatar!!!
