    Opening Day!

Woohoo! The day has come to introduce the kittens to the balcony! Its Bee-Yooo-Teee-full outside. Warm, sunny - a pefect balcony day.

Pouncer, being the expert in balcony sitting that he is, found his spot under the chair.

(Can he get any more handsome???)

He became a bit annoyed by all the scrambling the young'uns were doing... look at those airplane ears!

Harry was beside himself with joy...
"oooo, this is fun to roll around on." Just look at all the dirt on his white tummy!

    What's over there sis?!?!?!

    I don't know Harry!

    Ha! I stole Pouncer's spot!

Thanks meowmie for letting us out here!

All kitties were well behaved and nobody tried to jump off.

Wow, doesn't Harry look like he owns the balcony.

I think I would be too much of a nervous wreck to take my gang out like that. Call me chicken.

They do look like they are loving it though. Now just don't let Pouncer teach the kids any new tricks.

Lori, funny thing is, I only let Pouncer and Allen out, and shut the door os the kittens wouldn't get out. I wasn't ready to trust them yet. I wanted to introduce them to it slowly. Well, I was scooping litterboxes (what else would I be doing?) and hubby shouted, "KIM!!! Come quick and bring the camera." Good grief, what could be happening? And here he had opened the door and let them out! They were being soooo good, and only Harry was daring to poke his head through the rails.

I won't trust them completely for a while, but they really behaved so well. Much better than Pouncer ever did!

What wonderful pictures, Kim! I absolutely LOVE being able to take my kitties into our cat-fenced back yard for fun and frolic in the grass and sun! They love to roll around on the patio, and of course get covered with crud ... but it's sooooooooo worth it to see them so happy. As much as they enjoy it, they are all still very ready to come back indoors!

Very cute. We also have a balcony, but I'm too paranoid to let mine out on it.

As long as they don't know what they're missing, I don't worry too much about it. Guess I'd just better keep them away from this thread! Or they will know what they're missing!!!

Such cuties. Glad they were good. Do you think something like chicken wire on the posts would work to keep them slipping through the bannisters?

I did the right thing by setting you free
But the pain is very deep.

ah, you've read my mind! I am trying to convince hubby that chicken wire or screen will not look bad, and won't hurt to staple it to the floor (its actually a roof)

I agree with the chicken wire Kim. It's better to be safe than sorry.

I loved the pictures. They all look so content and adorable out there in the sunshine.

I can't wait until I can sit outside on the balcony with my guys.

You know - I have noticed that chicken wire is starting to appear on more and more craft items!! It is decorative If hubby won't believe this - how about screening? It would be barely noticable.

GREAT pictures Kim!! I love seeing kitties enjoy the sun!! I am thankful for our patio as we live in the same sort of busy area where kitties are not safa outside without supervision.
