    Oh fun! Guess who's one!

    If the vet's guesstimate of Mowg's age when I caught him was right, that means the Mowg-man was born sometime this month, so he's now a year old!

    Since the first 4 months of his life were spent out in the wild, I don't have any itty bitty baby pics of him. But, Mowgli, this is your life!

    Dear sweet Mowg-monster, you were first spotted at 4 months of age out by the dumpsters in July. And after spending 3 blistering days out in the sweltering heat, I finally managed to snag you in my makeshift trap and got you tucked away in the bathroom. And what a scene that was!



    Within two days you had a little cage, and your first vet trip, and boy were you ever zoned out after getting fixed!



    After a week, shelves went up in your cage, and we had our first big milestone!



    It wasn't long until you were spending time out of the cage and confined to my office/junk room. What fun that was!





    And boy were you ever driving your big sis crazy!

    Dearest Mowgli, you didn't stay in the junk room long, and soon you were running around the whole apartment. However, we had a little problem. You thought the towels were the litterbox! And had to spend much time in jail until you could learn what the litterbox was for.

    Luckily, you didn't have to stay in there for too terribly long. What warden wouldn't want to parole your pitiful face?





    And, much to my delight, you and Zelda grew to love each other, and snuggling became quite common. Scenes like this always brought out the warm fuzzy feelings and the flashy box!





    Even more delightful, was the fact that you went from a hissy wildman, to a cuddly momma's boy lap kitty. Coming in from work and getting a lapful of orange is enough to make anybody's night!

    Oh my little Mowg man I have tears in my eyes seeing you grow up. I can't believe it has been that long since your Auntie CCL had to keep pleading your case with the warden to get you out of that jail.
    I can't believe how big you've gotten and how absolutely handsome you are. You really grabbed at my heartstrings from day one and I'm so happy to see you now. I'm so proud of you and that wonderful meowmie of yours. You sure tested her nerves young man but I think she got even in the end. The wardens ultimate payback was the purple soft paws! (They do go very well with your gorgeous orange!)

    Happy Birthday Sweetheart. Your Auntie CCL loves you and I look forward to sharing at least twenty more birthdays with you! *Kissies to you!*
