Thread: Not a third! No! No! No!

Not a third! No! No! No!

No no no! I don't care if I did bring her into my junk room! Sure, I've seen her running around outside a lot. And she's really friendly. So she's got an owner somewhere, right?

I stepped out of my apartment and she just came running right up to me for pettings! And I got her some food and she wolfed it down, and then I decided to see if she'd go into my apartment (which she did after a little coaxing). And now she's right here in my junk room talking her head off!

And I let a couple of neighbors know that she's in my apartment. They just said they've seen her running around.

And I can't afford a third cat! And WAAAAAAH!

Three is a really good number.
I liked having three, didn't really want four, but now I've got four.

If you keep her, get her tested before she meets the crew.

She's beautiful! Judging by the dirt on her feet, and ears, it looks like she's been kicking around outdoors for a while. Check her belly and make sure her teats aren't filled with milk, as many cats are either pregnant now, or have delivered kittens. I sure hope she doesn't have a litter outside somewhere. If her nipples are sticking straight out, and the fur is diminished from that area, chances are she's got wee ones...especially if she's full of milk by morning. Then you'll have to try to find her kittens by letting her loose, and following her. Hope not!!

Thanks for the advice! Just checked her nipples - they aren't pokey, and she's got quite the furry little belly! She's so friendly that I want to believe she belongs to someone. But maybe she's just realized that being sweet gets her more food from the soft-heared hoo-mans.

How sweet - and did you noticed her coloring? She combines the best of Zelda and Mowgli-

She's far too relaxed for someone who's just come in from the great outdoors....

(Yes, I'm still trying to convince myself that I can't keep her.)

It's just cold out, and I wanted the little loudmouth to have a warm place to sleep. And boy is she ever a talker! And she loves being petted, and isn't the least bit scared about being inside...

And I'm already in love with her....

You're sold. Just stop fighting yourself and accept it.

She's got tabby stripes, so she'd fit in right well with the Catnapper Clan... PA's not that far from TN, and I have no plans this weekend if you want her...

She also makes happy feet when she gets petted.

On Saturday, I'll run by the vet and put up a nice "Found Cat" sign. And ask whether or not anyone's reported losing a cat fitting her description.

She's not named yet, so she's not a keeper yet!

Sounds like you have a 3rd kitty!

For us, 1 turned into 2, which eventually turned into 3, and in turn, turned into 4 - 4 is a nice even number. I don't think we'll be getting any more for a long time. It's getting expensive, and we're trying to buy a house, and I am not in a full-time employment situation right now!

Thanks to krazyaboutkatz for the cute avatar and wolf_Q for the cute siggy!

Rest in Peace, sweet Leo. You are sorely missed!
Since I last posted, we have another new addition - Tabitha, as of fall 2008.
