Good News!
Here it is:
Lisa,
Gracie was adopted today by a great family. I talked with them and they are very nice. She will be an only cat, which is great for her. She liked them right away, too, and really enjoyed getting kitty massages by them. (There was another person who was interested in her before these people and she was really shy with that person. So, I think she picked this family for herself.)
They are opposed to declawing and she will be indoors. The couple has a son who is good with cats- I watched him interact with Gracie and he was great. He has also played with cats before and does well. He said that he liked her name- it was cute.
So, I am really happy with her home. The family has my contact information in case they have any questions. I think she will love it there.
Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) is a full management plan in which stray and feral cats already living outdoors in cities, towns, and rural areas are humanely trapped, then evaluated, vaccinated, and sterilized by veterinarians. Kittens and tame cats are adopted into good homes. Healthy adult cats too wild to be adopted are returned to their familiar habitat under the lifelong care of volunteers
