My parents dog does this. When people come over to visit he greats them and then goes right over to the food bowl, takes a mouth full, and drops it at your feet. Or drops it in the living room. What's that about ?

Notes from the head Beagles! ;-)
maybe he wants to give everyone a present? To solve this, tell your parents not to free-feed. Just feed the dog twice a day, set the bowl down for 10 minutes then pick it up. That'll also help with monitoring how much he's eating, when he will need to go potty, and he will respect/obey your parents more.
My dog Kelly ( she passed away October last year) used to do a similar thing. Whenever I got home, or if we had visitors, she always brought a toy to the door. If she couldn't find a toy then she just took whatever she came across first.
One time, when she was still my sisters dog, she greeted some people with a pair of dirty knickers in her mouth.Lol. Quite an embarrassing moment.
