    Day out with the oldtimers...pics

Sleet and Preacher went for a big walk today.

    Let's go, Mom. What's the hold-up?

    I am ready to run!

Preacher is ready too! He has to stay on his leash most of the time.

    WoooHoooo, running Sleet!

It's no fun if you stay on the beaten track all the time!

On the lake, Preacher is allowed off leash since there isn't anything he can crash into out there!

Sleet and Preacher are very good friends. She never lets him wander too far away and he follows her when they are running. This was on the lake. Sleet was leading him back for a treat! My blind dog has his very own guide dog!

    More in the next post..;.

    Did someone say treats?

Don't be stingy with the treats, Mom. They are the diet kind so I can have two!

Thanks, Mom. Pupperonis are my favorite!

Sleet has the funniest ears! She can hold them in an amazing number of positions!

    Almost back home.

Hey, how come we didn't get to come? (Chum & Pingo).

  3. Why in that last picture of Sleet looking up did she remind me of Tasha(K9soul's)? LOL! Very cute, I absolutely love that pic btw!

"Did someone say treats". Oh yeah, now that is a look of intense concentration.

What great pictures. They are absolutely adorable dogs (espcially Sleet, she looks young yet). I know you are enjoying them.

Always love your pictures and all of your dogs. Big hugs to both those old timers. I love how Sleet guides Preacher along. How wonderful!

She's at least 11 now. They both are actually. Sleet was having a good day yesterday. Her hips bother her somedays, but she was good yesterday. She's enjoying the couch today though!! Sometimes I think she still looks like a young dog (she was 6 when I got her) and other days I look at her and wonder when she got so old! Sleet is my soulmate dog and I treasure every day I get with her.

They are so cute! Looks like they had so much fun. I love the ones of them looking up at the camera. I'm always a sucker for the dog's ears. They are my favorite part of the dog, except for their heart.

I did the right thing by setting you free
But the pain is very deep.
If only I could turn back time, forever, you I'd keep.
    I miss you

I hear you whimper in your sleep
I gently pet you and say, no bad dreams
It will be alright, to my dog as dark as night.

Fur as dark as the night.
    Join me on this flight.
Paws of love that follow me.
In my heart you'll forever be.

How I wish I could hold you near.
Turn back time to make it so.
Hug you close and never let go.
