    Dog Behavior

My dog is just so lovable, but he has a bad habit chewing. Just last week, he chewed an extension cord, he chewed the plug right off it. thank god it was not plugged in. I have no clue on what to do. We tryed that apple bitter, doesnt work. He chews wood, my plastic blinds, he's so loveable, give him so much love. but have no clue why he's doing this.

Have you tried other things that are good for him to chew on? Try Nylabones or Kongs. Praise him when he chews on what he's supposed to.

How old is your dog/ If he's a puppy, he may be teething, and there are things I'd reccommend. Otherwise, try to keep cords out of his reach, or blocked off so he can't get them! What kind is he? (Just curious!)

HI, ROMEO IS 11 MONTHS. HE HAS A LOT OF PLAY TOYS HE LOVES. ALSO LOVES TO CHEW EVERYTHING ELSE TO GO WITH IT. ALSO PRAISE HIM. WHEN HE WAS TEETHING, HE CHEWED FOR AWHILE, BUT THEN HE STOPPED. NOW IT'S ALL OVER AGAIN. HE WENT TO THE GROOMER TODAY, AND SHE SAID HE TRYED TO BITE HER EVERYTIME SHE COMBED HIS HAIR. HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM.

HI KAREN, MY DOG IS 11 MONTHS OLD. HE ALREADY WENT THRU A CHEWING STAGE WHERE HE CHEWED EVERYTHING IN SITE. HE HAS LOTS OF CHEWING TOYS. BUT NOW HE'S STARTING ALL OVER AGAIN. I'M NOT SURE IF IT'S A SEPERATING ANXIETY? HE IS WITH ME 24/7 EXCEPT OF COURSE WHEN I CANNOT TAKE HIM CERTAIN PLACES. HE'S IN HIS CRATE. FOR EXAMPLE HE WENT TO THE GROOMER TODAY, TOOK HIM HOME AND HE'S BEEN TRYING TO CHEW MY RUGS OR ANYTHING HE CAN GET THOSE LITTLE TEETH ONE. HE'S A MALTESE. SO CUTE, BUT HYPER. I'M REALLY NOT SURE I'M GOING ABOUT IT THE RIGHT WAY. I STRONGLY BELIEVE IN CRATE TRAINING. BUT THAT ONLY DOES SO MUCH ALSO. THANKS
