Man survives shot out of James Bond style pen

A man in Germany had a lucky escape and survived after shooting himself in the neck by mistake with a James Bond style pen.

A Dusseldorf police spokesman said that the 35-year-old delivery driver, named only as Nusrel F for legal reasons, set off the trigger by mistake when the shooting pen fell out of his pocket while he was tying his shoelaces.

The driver, who had been making deliveries to a local hospital, told police that he had found the pen.
