Years ago when I was young and thin...

I was an Auxiliary State Trooper in Connecticut. I was going through some older pictures over the weekend and found this...

I did it for about 4 years and loved it.

Oh, and that thing on my right hip...that's a .357 Magnum with 38 hollow-points. I am a revolver expert, even to this day.

walk softly and carry a big gun!!!

Ah to be young and thin again!!

Hee Hee.....a year ago I came across a photo of me as a highland dancer.....it was taken about 8 years ago and NO, you won't get to see it!
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!

Aw come on Slick!!! I'll show ya mine if you show me yours!!!

Actually, I was the butt of alot of jokes. One time the State Police did a anti-DWI commercial. There were at least a dozen cruisers and a whole LOT of uniformed Troopers and Auxiliary Troopers (including myself) standing around in a shopping center at 2 a.m. awaiting instructions (we had to shut down traffic on the Merritt Parkway near the tunnel in order to film it). Some guy from the hotel across the street came over and asked the commanding officer if it was a drug raid. The CO said no, and explained what we were doing. The guy looked at me, all 5 feet, in my uniform and gun and said, "Gee, I think that's great the State of Connecticut lets one of the trooper's kids dress up and participate in the commercial!!"

To say I never lived it down is an understatement!

I never would have thought you'd have done that, and for four years! You couldn't pay me a million bucks to do that job. Being a dispatcher is stressful enough. Hollowpoints are the only ones to carry.

No, I'm not going back into my old photo albums! And besides, my scanner isn't working.

Yeah right....like I can believe this!!!!!
Actually I was just thinking that it would be cool to start a thread of baby pictures and have us guess which Pet Talker it is.

Ooohh...baby pictures I'll do, but really, Slick, the scanner hasn't worked since Terry got XP. I downloaded the supposed XP drivers from Microtek, but it still doesn't work - just locks up the computer which is totally frustrating. I just haven't had the time to deal with it, but if you have any ideas.......
