A friend of mine has a poodle/basset mix, and it actually looks like a basset, with somewhat curly white hair and few black patches...

    Blanche

    She's a cutie!

Once taking Toby and Tara to the vet, I ran into someone who had a dalmation/ basset mix - Looked like a basset in a 'dalmation' coat! (wrinkly ankles and all!) The dog was so 'startling' looking, that I couldn't help but grin and laugh at him - his owner said that was everyones reaction, and why they got him - he was just such a clown, that they couldn't resist! he WAS an extremely friendly dog, too!

Apparently that's pretty common in Basset mixes - the body type stays primarily basset, and they take on the coat of the other breed.

I bet this one won't stay in rescue long!

Thanks, Amanda, for the wonderful siggy and avatar!
