No rest for the weary - Meet Barney - my newest foster

Another case of a poor animal that had been left tied outside most of his life. This one was even worse as Barney is 7 years old and has spent that entire time tied outside. The owner was moving to a condo and was in the process of taking the dog to be euthanized when a loving real estate agent offered to take the dog and find a foster home for him. He was in another foster home for a couple of months, but they are no longer able to keep him, as they have a very ill cat that needs all of their time. He is very sweet - looks to be a lab/greyhound mix. He does seem to have a problem with his ears as well as some kind of growth on his neck, so we are going to be taking him to the vet to get him all checked out. Then we will see about getting him adopted.

Barney is a handsome looking dog. After 7 long years tied
up outside, it's high time he found a proper, loving home. I'll bet
he would blossem with a little love & attention. Let us know how
he's doing when you see him please.Good luck Barney.

I just cant understand some people. How can you just decide to kill your dog because you are moving.
I hope you find him a loving home.

I'm also glad in a way that we live in Aus, because if my partner saw this she would get every dog that you foster.
