Before and after surgery - Lizzie and Robbie

This was the night before surgery... look at Lizzie's leg...flopped over Robbie - so cute!!

The babies came home and after Lizzie got hissed at from Emily - she hid for the next 6 hours until we pulled her out late last night. Poor baby did not even resist and did not want to eat, drink or even walk. So, we put her in the bed with Robbie and they slept awhile.Robbie sorta hogged the bed but Lizzie stayed near him - poor baby - you can tell she feels puny She looks so tiny!!!

Here are two size comparison pix for Lori! Liz is about four soup cans...

Robbie is quite a few soup cans bigger!!

Right now, Liz is curled up in a ball and sleeping. Robbie acts normal but she sure does not feel good! I will pamper her until she feels better.

    Mr. Hissy-pants Dylan...

Awww... poor little Lizzie. I know how you feel, because I just went through that with Abby not feeling well after the spay. the first 24 hours were pure agony for me, but she started perking up the next day and was jumpng & playing normally by the day after that. Have you tried giving her a hot pad or something to compress aganst her tummy? That helped Abby considerably.

Catnapper - good idea!! I microwaved the insert for my neck pillow and put the whole thing in Lizzie's bed - she sure seemed to know what it was for!! First, I held her awhile with the warm area right on her belly, and she just relaxed right into it in my arms Must feel real good!!

Just a tip for all of you having multiple cats . When you bring bacl another family member(fur) put a drop or two of vinalla on the noses of home bound and a drop on the returnees head. We use this trick a lot to get mommy rabbits to accept new orphan bunnies. Only had it not work once, and that mom was my special pet she could count. Every one smells the same so no hissy fits. Had it work on our dogs too as we had to add pups to some moms.
Glad to see Lizzie feeling better on her heat pad.

Corinna! That is probably what I was thinking about when I wrote Help Dylan's Hissy thread this morning!! He was scaring all of us. I *thought* it was vanilla I had read about but I put in on the back of their necks and not noses

Well, right Dylan, hissy-boy Dylan is spending the day on the enclosed patio and is out there looking dejected. I tried letting him in a few minutes ago, Robbie ran up to him and *HISS* Well, needless to say, he is back outside again

Awww poor Lizzie. That heating pad was a good idea, catnapper.

I haven't read the post about Dylan hissing, shame on him.

Thanks for the soup can comparison. I'm going to set a can by R&R and then I can see how they all compare. I know your Robbie has both mine beat already. I just remember how tiny they were the day we got them and it's just so hard for me to accept that Robbie is already that big, even though you've been posting pictures. Guess it's some kind of mental block, LOL.

Please give Lizzie some gentle kisses and hugs from me if she'll allow it.

    From Decker with Love

Awwwwe! Poor little Lizzie. I hate to see them feel so bad after surgery. It's so much harder on the girls and it breaks my heart. That was a great idea to put her on some heat. I'm sure that made her feel better. Bless her heart. I'm so dreading this with Abigail and the time is here. I must make that dreaded appointment!

What's up with Dylan? Not really knowing his past maybe he has had some bad experiences with the white coats. I hope he gets over it soon cause the babies need lovin from their fur family too. How is Emily doing with Lizzie now?

Mr. Unperturbable hisself is all hissy????? What's up witdat, Dylan? You look so comfy, cozy and cute in that pink bed. Did your meowmie make that for you? As a friend of mine says, "relax yourself", so you can get back in circulation with your fursibs. Be sweet, you hunka hunka orangie love. Miz Liz, I hope you feel MUCH better by tomorrow. Cuddle up with meowmie and let her give you some loving. You'll be better off for it, guaranteed!!!!
