    Chow in need in Indiana!

Angel was bought from a guy that kept her in a kennel outside as a pup. She was taken into a home that had a pitbull and was attacked and almost died. The owner could not take care of the bill so she was passed to the owners mil who kept her either in a cage or tied up to a door handle at all times. She was bred by mil on her first heat and when she was almost due was given back to her previous owner to have the puppies. Previous owner kept her in her closet until the puppies were old enough to sell. Angel went back to mil and was kept in a kennel or tied up to a door handle again. Mil got sick of her peeing in the house and she was passed back to the original owner. Original owner kept her out in her unheated garage and come second heat Angel was pregnant yet again.

Time for second litter to be born and owner brought her in the house but put her down in the cold concrete basement in a kennel. Litter was born so owner did eventually let her run the basement with her litter. Angel was taken out to go potty once a day and when she did get let out she was immediately yelled at and told to hurry up and get back in the basement with usually a kick in the butt to help her back down the stairs.

Someone had enough one day and when informed Angel was going to be put down since she was done nursing her current litter of pups she took Angel. Person that took her knew she could not really afford all Angel needs but was gonna try her hardest to help this girl out.

Angel was then brought into a house and let run around and was doing great the first couple of days. Then the aggression towards the womans cats started. The woman has four other dogs and out of the four Angel does not like one of them. It is breaking this womans heart to keep Angel in a cage all the time because of her cats and one other dog.

One rescue around the woman needs the previous owner to contact them in order for them to take Angel. Previous owner will not contact them. Aspca has no room and has informed the woman that chows do not do too well there anyways.

Woman does not drive but thinks okay maybe I can find a rescue out of state and hubby can drive Angel to them some weekend. Three days after taking Angel in transportation breaks down deeming itself unreliable for traveling any amount of distance.

Woman is left wrestling with her conscious of what is the right thing to do. She does not have the money to get Angel fixed and up to date on shots and find her a home herself right at this time. She does not want Angel to go through another pregnancy so really does not think adopting her out unspayed and not vetted would be a good idea. Angel has issues that would make her really hard to adopt out anyways. She is severely aggressive to cats and so far one other dog. Angel does not bite but would need someone patient to get her over being handshy. She also has no concept whatsoever of being housetrained.

The woman would like opinions and suggestions on what she should do? Any and all opinions are welcome.
