The "BRATS" have been showing off!

We finally had a sunny day and I got some really good pictures of a few of the Brats and I thought I would share. The front window was the popular spot because the birds come up on the porch and eat the left over cat food from the ferals. We get a lot of ACK ACKing in this window!

    Here is pretty Pervy

    The Doofus Leroy

    He is too a Dufus!!!

Pete, Rosco, and my poor poor tree.

My fluffy love muffin Pepper Jack

    He is so photogenic!

    Pete and Stubby

    Here's Stubby dreaming of Dylan

A few of the Brats (notice little paw coming out from under Rosco) *groan* My poor tree.

    Bird watching

Well that's all and you didn't even have to wait until Saturday!!! There will be more for Saturday morning I promise!
Everybody was behaving and most of the pictures came out so good I had to share now.

Those are some great pics, Lisa! Something about a kitty sitting in the sunshine that just makes them glow!

I can smell that sun warned fur!!! Wish I could bury my face in it Lisa you do have the most stunning cats!!! You DO!

Poor tree But it sure makes a nice backdrop for photos!!

hmmm....taking a good look at Ms Stubby and the expression on her face. It is my imagination or is she glaring?? Would that be at the photographer or is she thinking about knocking Pete out of the window?

    As usual, great photos!
Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) is a full management plan in which stray and feral cats already living outdoors in cities, towns, and rural areas are humanely trapped, then evaluated, vaccinated, and sterilized by veterinarians. Kittens and tame cats are adopted into good homes. Healthy adult cats too wild to be adopted are returned to their familiar habitat under the lifelong care of volunteers

Ok CalliesMom here is the gene pool in our house.

Sammy - One of two tiny feral kittens my mom caught on the side of the road. My brother has Sammy's brother.

Leroy - A neighbor rescued him from a Kroger parking lot, brought him home and left him outside. She did provide food. He fell in love with us and started staying on our porch and the neighbor happily said "Take Him"! (now I know why! )

Peanut Butter, Lucky, and Stubby are all from the same litter and came from a feral momma cat that I fed.

Maggie Sue - Same momma as above but the only surviving kitten from that litter.

Pete, Pepper Jack and Pervy - Siblings from the same wild momma as above. (she was trap smart and wild as a buck so I could never catch her and get her fixed. She looked just like Maggie Sue. I never saw her again after she brought me these last three babies. I'm sure she has died and that breaks my heart. I had a real soft spot for her. )

Magoo - Came from the shelter

Rosco and Abigail are siblings from one of the ferals I feed.

I had to go back and make sure that equaled twelve!

That glaring expression is equally shared by all. She didn't like the fact that I was following her around with the camera and she never likes to share anything with anybody! Pete stayed safe this time. Lately she has saved all of her paw swipes for arch enemy Maggie Sue and the most recent problem in her life....Rosco!!

Kim, I couldn't keep that boy off of me if I wanted to! He is in my lap every night getting pets, rubs, and tons and tons of scritchies. I force him to tolerate kisses in return! He also makes sure that his large 16 pound fluffy self sleeps on my chest every night. I promise you this boy makes darn sure he gets more than his fare share of attention and I gladly give it to the little brat!

Yep, but without the flash and there was lots of natural light. I have found that no flash pictures can get really blurry so I have to steady my hand on something and pray that the cats don't move for a second or two. I probably took about 50 or 60 pictures and less than twenty were worth keeping. It is still worth the trouble though because it usually shows more true color without washing them out or screwing up their eyes.
