    another photoshop question

The good news....I was able to obtain a "legal" copy (he bought it, I borrowed it) of photoshop 8.0!!!! I am so happy about that!! I've been fumbling around with the trial version that Adobe has on their website, and I can't figure out something.

I am cutting out parts of a photo using the magnetic lasso tool (is that right?)...but when I try to paste it to another background, the photo is HUGE! I can never find a way to resize the image...? I'm sorry to be such a pain. I just get bewildered looking at all those buttons and functions. I am using tutorials on the net, but haven't found anything pertaining to this yet.

Thanks so much for advice and help! You guys are the best!

Before you start cutting an image out, go to View - Actual Pixels..

Then you can go to Image - Image Size, and resize it.

Go to image, image size. Resize there. Make sure you do it before you slice hte image though.

Also, magnetic lasso it's really only good if the image is on a solid bg. I'd suggest the polygonal lasso instead
