Thread: My Christmas Vacation

    My Christmas Vacation

We went to Chicago and stayed downtown on State Street. It was bitterly cold but we still went to see the skaters, the windows of Marshall Field's (Snow White this year) the tree in the Walnut Room and Daley Plaza with the Christmas Market and HUGE tree -- which we could see from our room as well....

The next day we picked up my stepson and his dog, Odin, and drove to eastern Indiana. Odin rode on my lap in the back seat. He had a bath the night before and hadn't been brushed yet. My black slacks and coat are now back from the cleaners but he is such a loverboy!

Then back across to western Illinois where we were greeted by this Santa.....

Then back to SoCal and a visit from friends from Miami...His daughter lives in San Diego so we visited her. I first met her cat, Charlie, in Paris....

Finally, it was time to take down the Christmas decorations...with a little help...

    Now back to reality!

What a lot of animals you met on your trip! It looks great.

I'm glad the divine Miss E helped take the decorations down. Such a good girl!

Aww, I'm in love with Charlie - he does look a lot like Pjevs! That sweet expression.

Edwina, you seem to know just the right moment when your secretary needs help, how sweet of you.

Where was Eddie. Out for a stroll again?

Nice pictures Sara and it certainly sounds like you had a great time. Welcome back.

    I just love this one.......
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!

What a great vacation! I'm so glad you were able to spend some time in Chicago, and hopefully it snowed for you too.

Odin looks a bit big for a lap dog.
