Dear Barbara,
It is almost Christmas Day and I couldn't let it pass by without telling you "Merry Christmas" and sending you some "treats". I really, really wanted to help my mom cook these haystacks last night as you can see. I wish we could have sent some to you to enjoy! Filou and Tigris would have enjoyed them too! I decided that Butterscotch is a perfect flavor for a Buttercup like me! Mama said that one reason she named me Butter is because my ears reminded her of Butterscotch.

I even decided to be nice to my sister last night because it was COLD!!! Daddy said he was a little nervous about the situation because we never get that close to each other!!

yes your name fits you purrfectly, not only for the colour of your ears. I am sure that like Filou and Tigris you love all the buttery things. Their auntie, my sister had been making wonderful Christmas cookies which she sent to us (hint, hint ) and Filou licked them all.

And auntie Karen (Killearn Kitties) brought some original Scottish shortbread which Filou also liked a lot.

In your household there are only people who don't mind a cat hair in the haystack, especially if it is so matching in colour like yours.

Perhaps you'd be so kind as to explain what a 'haystack' is and what they are made out of? They look yummy!

Glad I saw this so quickly, Kimmy! A haystack is a mixture of melted butterscotch chips, chow mein noodles and peanuts, all stirred together and dropped on wax paper in little "stacks" until they cool. They are YUMMY!!!!!
