I had the very difficult task of having my 14 year old foster kitty, Tawny, put to rest today. As I had suspected from the start, my vet confirmed that she did in fact have mammary gland cancer. Tawny also was in kidney failure and had succumbed to a very nasty upper respiratory virus as well. At the advice of my vet, we chose to end her suffering. Tawny was blessed with a very long life of 14 years, and she was a loved member of our family during the past 6 months that she has been with us.

Rest in peace, sweet Tawny girl ... you will be missed!
