    Guess what happened today!

I asked mom yesterday if she could get me into her work before Christmas to sell the candy wreaths. She works in a cafeteria which every year has vendors come in right before Christmas to sell crafts and interesting items you can't find in stores... anyway, she called me back today saying that when she asked her boss this morning he said "no, its all full" then a few hours later, he told her that there was a cancellation, and since I am her daughter I get in for a flat fee of $25! Yippie!

Oh exciting! how many wreaths should I take? What should I price them at? They cost me about $10 each to make - that includes the brass rings, the candy, and bow. They take about half an hour to make. What seems to be a fair price? I have two sizes... small measures about 10" round including the candy, and the large is about 12". I have an idea in mind, but won't reveal it until I hear what others have to say. What sounds fair to you?

I REALLY could use the extra money right now! I am trying not to get my hopes up in case I go and sit there all day not selling a single wreath. Send those prayers, good thoughts, and selling vibes!

I was thnking $25-35! Hubby sold a few at school for $30. Hmmm... now I really need to think! If I sell them for $15-18 a piece I won't make any money. I have to take into consideration my flat fee for the table, gas to get to the sale, the turnpike fees, the gas to get to the store to buy the candies, etc. So really, my cost is more like $15 a piece if I consider all that stuff. Not even including my time (the whole half hour )

Just so everyone knows, there is at least 200-300 pieces of candy on each wreath, so its not just a few pices. We saw 4 little snickers bars in a cheap mug for $6. This is 50 times that much candy. I don't know what to say! HELP!

I would start at $25. I think that's reasonable for all that candy. Wish I had one here. Good luck! Hope you make lots of money.

The you cannot put a price on labor and the time that
    you put into them...

Charge 30-and as Xmas gets closer drop the price a bit...people always go for the homemade stuff as the time gets short....

Those are unique, one of a kind craft things that people always fall in love with....

    Good luck....

Not $15 - you wouldn't be compensating yourself for your time! Sell them at $25 a piece for the small, $30 for the larger. All that candy and effort are worth that!

I would not go lower than 22 and 28. They are very beautiful and decorative- as if they were made out of Venetian glass.

I saw them, they are beautiful! I'd sell them for at least $25 and $30. You can always lower the price if you aren't getting any bites.

    Thank you Wolfie!
