    Question a lab characteristic??

Do any of your doggies do this?? I don't even know what to call what Maggie is doing in the picture?? Holding/mouthing a stuffie in her mouth?? She'll sit there for long periods of time just doing that.

  2. She probably just protecting it in some way, my dog will just sit there for 5-10 minutes just holding her bone looking all around at us, she must think we are going to steal it!

Or she could just be enjoying the taste SO much that she doesn't want to let go! JK!

My pup Maggie loves to do that also. She'll play with a stuffie
long after the stuffing is gone. Seems to love the feel/taste of
    it on her teeth.

Sadie does that alot too...she HAS to have something in her mouth, and when she is done playing, she crawls up on the couch and keeps her stuffie with her.

My sisters Lab sucks on a toy for long periods. We call it his "binky". It's very cute to watch and it's probably very comforting to him.

Actually my shephard cross does that alot more than my lab cross, she will fall asleep like that. Lots of times, too, she will fall asleep with her head just resting on top of her Gorilla.

Both Dixie and Dusty love to greet people with something in their mouth. Dixie especially though. Before she will greet you she has too search the area for what's available. Her thing of choice is her daddy's dirty socks and then whatever else may be laying around. She will actually sleep with daddy's dirty socks in her mouth. But then, since Dusty came along, she is Daddy's little girl!

It would seem to me, that Maggie loves her stuffie.

    Talking Lab Characteristic?

I also have lab that does this ALL THE TIME!! I have a picture that I will have to post, doing almost the EXACT same thing. She doesn't necessarily put the stuffed toys in her mouth, but she is contstantly resting her chin on her toys, pillows, my legs, etc. I think it's soooo cute!!!
