i think my luli girl is dying :(

I'm pretty sure my hairless rat, Luli, is not going to be around for much longer. She's really listless, basically not moving at all. I've held her in my lap for about an hour and she hasn't closed her eyes. She's still breathing and I've been able to get her to drink a little bit of water, but, that's hard for her. And, she won't eat. Anyway, I'm just really bummed that she's not well, and, I wanted to post something about her in here. She's been a really good little girl for over three years, now, and, I know she's just old for a rat. I'm just trying to keep her warm and comfortable for now. I'll let you all know if she does go to the bridge.

I'm so sorry. It is hard to see them suffer. I watched our last hamster go through the final stages of life and it broke my heart so badly that I took her in and had her euthanized to spare her the pain.

My prayers are with you and Luli.

I am so sorry to hear about Luli. She was always so special to me as she reminds me so much of my Wrinkles, who just passed at a little over three years.

thanks, everyone. I fell asleep with her in a blanket with me, and, then, put her to bed. When I woke up a few hours later, she'd pooped a little and moved a little out of the spot I'd put her in, but, she'd died. She was still really warm and her little toes and limbs were still flexible, so, it had happened shortly before I'd woken up. I'm taking her to the vet today. She's at the bridge with my other rats, Gwynnie and Lily.

I am so so sorry about Luli. She was very special to us all. She had a very good life with a very good mom, and is now at the bridge where she is young and healthy again.

I'm sorry for your loss Kari, but it sounds at least like she went peacefully and without a doubt loved. I didn't see her pictures before but it's only fairly recently that I've made a habit of visiting Pet General routinely. I'm glad you bumped her thread back up so I could see her. She looked like a cutie. RIP Luli girl

She definitely was a cutie, and, just really sweet. You could stick your finger in her mouth, and, she wouldn't bite you. She was given to me a few years ago by my brother's ex, and, I have to tell her now that she's gone.
