Interesting Worldwide Animal Stuff!

Hi all,
Just thought I would mention that Animal Planet is calling for people to vote for the World's Favourite Animal (how can you pick just one - especially when Lion AND Tiger are on the list!)

Second thing, just something I wanted to bring up - who is an avid watcher of Emergency Vets (also on Animal Planet)? I love watching that show purely from a vet nurse/tech perspective - I always learn something new. I would love to work with Dr Fitzgerald one day, that would be very cool

Last thing (not a worldwide 'interest', but still interesting anyway) - Zion Wildlife Gardens - congratulations to Craig Busch and Karen Greybook for all their hard work and for bringing the first ever white lion (Gandor) to NZ to their wildlife park. What I would give to work there...

“Emergency Vets” is one of my favorite shows on Animal Planet.
Very informative, although extremely sad at times.
I had the pleasure of meeting my favorite vet Dr. Taylor in person.

That's a favorite show of mine as well! That, and Animal Cops, though I really don't like the way the Miami show is done...and don't tend to watch that. It's so repetitive! I'm glad to know that you get the pleasure of watching these great shows way over in New Zealand. And welcome to Pet Talk

I love emergency vets too! I am attending Bel-Rea in 2007- which works with Alameda East a lot. Vet techs at Bel-Rea do a lot of practicing at Alameda East, maybe I will be on TV, ha ha I wish! Dr. Robert Taylor founded Bel-Rea too with another vet!!

My all time favorite show on Animal Planet is Animal Cops: Houston!
