Alex Needs a Home
Hi, it's me again, the cat side person that occassionally ventures over here to the dog side.
When I was trying to find a home for Eddie I contacted a rescue agency that I've kept in touch with. I got this information from them. They are somewhere in the Chicago area.
This is Alex (sorry the picture is weird, he's really a beautiful brown and white color)
Alex is a beautiful brown and white, blue-eyed, 60-pound, 11-year-old purebred Siberian Husky who is need of a home. His mom had to move into a retirement home, and she was not able to take Alex with her. She is absolutely heartbroken over it and to make matters even worse, her adult children were going to have him put to sleep because they did not want to deal with him. This guy is absolutely darling with a wonderful temperament. His only problem is his situation. He is very laid back and sweet. He is completely house trained, great with kids and other dogs, and of course is wonderful with people. His mother tells us his favorite hobby is to just lie near you and be petted. He would probably prefer a house without a lot of stairs, however, because his hips aren't as durable as they used to be. He is, however, a very healthy guy with lots of love left to give. Alex would love to share all of his love with you! If you are interested in meeting and possibly adopting this handsome fellow, please email [email protected] and ask for an application, or you can call 630-699-3538. Thank you for choosing to adopt and not buy from a breeder or a pet store.
UPDATE: A quote from his foster mommy, "Alex is a gentle, laid back guy who gets along great with other dogs, cats, kids of all ages, and even squirrels! He loves to take naps when I am at work, but he also enjoys a nice walk at night. He is a great companion dog, often following me around and even sometimes playing with my dog, Lucy. I can honestly say that he is the best foster dog I have ever had!"
This pet is: up to date with routine shots, already house trained, altered, and microchipped. His adoption donation is $100.
I know it's a long shot, but hopefully somebody can help this sweetie.
