History: Canaan Dogs are a distinct breed which has survived in the desert since pre-biblical times. Developed through the selective breeding of the semi-wild Pariah dogs of the Middle East. Their name "Canaan Dog" identifies them as the ancient inhabitants of Israel the Canaanites who lived some 3,000 years ago. Used to guard and protect livestock, they were also a messenger dog in the Israeli army.

They seem to be able to do anything, live anywhere, and they're just plain georgous. What do you guys think of them???

Whats not to love? If I didn't already have 5 dogs and my mother would let me, I'd be hunting the whole country for one if I could, but..I DO have 5 dogs and my mom insists that 5 is atleast 3 dogs too many. I amagin they aren't very cheap either....
