    human pregnancy

my cat has been acting strange since i found out i was pregnant,, i dont show her any less attention... since we moved to our house..i dont know if its cus of other cats that used to be here or what, but she will walk right past her litter box to pee. she used to do # 2 too, but i put her litter box in that room,, she uses it to # 2, but when i am in the room, she will pee in front of me, i also have 2 bunnies that have peed on the carpet, but there was no reaction from her.. untill now.. in other rooms, she will squat in my presence... i have cleaned, and sprayed with deoderizer,, seems to help a little bit, but i also have to tell her no when she is smelling for a spot to go.. could she be wanting more attention? she had no problems when i brought bunnies home.. could she get jelous of the baby?

about the kitty cat being rude...

Hi. Sometimes a cat can sense that "something" is different around the house, or with their owners(causing stress and problems with comprehending where to potty)Alot of times if you move into a new house, it will disturb them and make them feel unstable, causing a disturbance with their bodily functions.(and the extra hormones you produce when being pregnant, maybe she can sense it and it makes her feel even more unstable than complete new and unfamiliar surroundings) But I would first take her to the vet and have her checked out. There could be an underlying illness that isn't seen by the naked eye of an unskilled or untrained individual. The vet could run urinary tests to see if that could be the cause. My cat had a urinary infection, and had the same problem when I first got him. After getting him neutered and getting his problem fixed with oral antibiotics, he has never tinkled on the floor again. =) Is your cat altered? Hope this helps, Katie =) (stop using the deodorizer, its just covering it up,maybe egging the cat to cover up that scent with her own again, making it a never ending battle between scents=)try using vinegar water or diluted lemon juice (cats hate the smell of lemon and vinegar removes the smell)
