my big sister Melissa and her hubby came up from east bay to visit, with the new labbiex rescue girl Elle! we all met at the lake and it was lots of fun . Gonzo loved playing with Elle, even though she was a waay better swimmer. she would basically go out and retrieve anything as far as you could throw it! there were tons of waves because of all the stupid boats, and it was 105 outside, but the dogs were happy, anyway. i also got just one picture of beautiful Elle, because my parents janky digital camera ran out of batteries! after i just put new batteries in! oh well. there was about 10 other dogs, and my boy was the only non-labrador out there swimming. they also played and rolled in the dirt lots! i think the lake is one of Gonzo's favorite places...

Great pictures! What lake are you at? It seems alot less crowded then the lakes around here...and half of them do not allow dogs. If it's close enough to me, I'll start going there instead.

Robin it was so fun! i wish i wouldve gotten more/better pics, those are from the first 10 minutes there. it wore the doggies out anyway, my boy has been sleeping since we got back..

Tonya, thanks! we went to Folsom Lake, about 30 minutes northeast of Sacramento. its really nice and not so crowded there right now, because everyone is starting to go the the river since the water is so low in the lake. the people there are so cool too! all of the swimming areas are dog friendly as long as you dont mind hiking 1 mile back and fourth to the water.... its really low

Oh! Haha, my husband will laugh about that. He always grew up on Folson lake, and he's always telling me that my lakes suck and I need to go to Folsom. I'm always to lazy to go there (and half afraid the inlaws will meet us there ) Now I'll have to tell him...And he'll say "I told you so!"
