    Things that make you go awww...

    Stuart called tonight, just to check in from the fire lines. This morning while preparing to light a back burn, one of his crew members found a baby bunny--still small enough to fit in the palm of his hand. The little one seemed to be on his own and little confused about where to run to get out of the fire zone. Stuart had a hat in his truck so the baby spent the day riding around in the truck, sleeping in his hat. One of the firefighters who lives in the area took the bunny home tonight to live with his family!

    Aww, I love it when manly men (and what's more manly than a fireman?) show that they can be gentle too. Like when my hubby would help me with the foster kittens....
