    Of Ants and Mint

    and kibbles and cats.

Here is what the feeding station looks like garnished with mint. So far it is working but, much easier than refreshing the mint garnish daily would be Eddie eating his kibbles without tossing some all about for the ants!

What? No candlelight, no fine bottle of Chateau St. Michelle? No violin music. What kind of a bistro is this?

Neat idea. We use the moat technique here, and are poised to try the chalk ring when the ants come again. Uggghhhhh! My least favorite thing about summer...

I'll keep the mint idea as a back up!

    Thanks!!!

Actually it is working. Fortunately I have quite a bit of mint in my garden as it looks rather ugly dried so I freshen it daily...

A meal always looks a little better with a garnish added.

We used to have mint growing out of our ears. We couldn't kill it if we tried! And now it appears we've killed it without even trying. I went to get some to sprinkle around to get rid of our ants, and we've got a measly 3 or 4 tiny plants left. Can't figure out what happened to them.....

Hrm, I know why the mint in my house dies...

Its because of nawtee kitties who seem to think eating it right off the plant makes it taste better
