The one that got away - a story by Jazz and Scout

    "Girls, get the squirrel!"

    "Huh? What squirrel?"

"There was a squirrel here? Where??"

"Don't believer her Jazz, she's just trying to get us to pose for pictures."

    The end.

    From Decker with Love

A delightful story and such marvelous illustrations. You kids would be marvelous photographer's models!
I'm sometimes asked "Why do you spend so much of your time and money talking about kindness to animals when there is so much cruelty to men?" I answer: "I am working at the roots." -George T. Angell, reformer (1823-1909)

  10. Squirrels are VERY hard to see. Sometimes Shirley practically runs over Edwina's tail and Edwina doesn't see her (which is a bit disappointing to Shirley!)

Great pictures and too cute!! Trevor and Andy would LOVE to have windows that go down that low to the floor. Around here they have to jump onto something in order to do bird/squirrel watching. Those windows were just made for a kitty's viewing pleasure.

Great story. I only saw the squirrel in one picture so I do have to beleive that IT was planted to get pictures for those of us addicted to Jazz and Scout.

When The Cats were permitted outside, they used to chase the squirrels, all the time. The squirrel would tease the Cat,then run away,as soon as the Found Cat,even started to crouch!
