Daphne's fun weekend!

Daphne had sooo much fun at the beach! We went to my dad's for the weekend, and he lives 1 block from the beach - so we went all 3 days! And guess what? Daphne went swimming! She never went swimming on her own before - she only likes to wade. I think it's because she was hanging out with the neighbor's dogs who love to swim (they followed us to the beach! ^_^) so she wanted to join them.

But Daphne did NOT like the fireworks at all! There were fireworks friday, saturday, and sunday - all the time! (even though fireworks are illegal here!) My poor girl was shaking and panting every time they went off. And between swimming every day and fireworks, she was very tired every night.

Sorry no pictures, but I took some with my dad's camera, and I'll post them when he gets it developed. ^_^

It sounds like you and Daphne had a good weekend! I hope you are able to get some of the pics on here. I would love to see them. Going to the beach sounds so nice. I'm hoping to take my girls to the beach some day. I would love to see what they would do.

What a fun day for Daphne and you!!! I remember how excited I got when my Star first took the plunge Once they get the hang of it, you can't keep them out of the water And having a doggie role model is a great way to get started! Can't wait to see the pics! Sorry about the fireworks My girls were shaking last night!

Hello Wolfie, yes you sound as if you had a fab weekend, it's great to see our furkids enjoying theirselves isn't iti?

Sasha luvs water & we can't keep her out of it, but she's never tried the sea yet............hope to take her sometime, but in England beaches are different, some don't allow you to take dogs on in the summer holiday season, plus they are far to commercialised etc.


Anyway glad Daphne had a great weekend.

Sounds like a good time, except for her being scared of the fireworks. I've had my fill of them, as well. They're still shooting them off in my neigborhood. We'll look forward to seeing the pics when you post them. I loved your sig so much, I saved it!
