    Celebrating Pee Wee's Life!

I am so incredibly worried about my Pee Wee man ..... I'm sitting here in tears. He isn't any worse, he's basically like he has always been ... but knowing that we are going to test him this week, I am consumed with worry and grief. I know that he was so very sickly when he came to me ... the tiniest of 8 kittens ... and he has struggled so much and thrived for nearly a year now ... I just can't bear the thought of losing him to Felv.

Here is Pee Wee on the day I got him.

A few weeks later ... still struggling ... but being brothered by foster Dallas

    One week later:

After finally making some real improvement .... a little more than a month later!

    Another month goes by:

    Just taken this week:

He has grown and his fat and sassy and very playful ... but that darn cough is back and like I said, his gums are pale! [

I don't know how common lungworms are in your area, but Leslie & I rescued a litter of kittens several years ago and if I recall they all had that cough that came & went. A trip to the vets and they were diagnosed with lungworm! It is not common at all in Mass. but it may be what's causing that coughing in Pee Wee. Poor little guy has come a long way since that first day. He's the picture of health in comparison to day #1! Lelsie can probably recall the lungworm incident better than I as I've trapped sooo many I can't recall much lately. Kissies and noserubs to Pee Wee and prayers that all will go well at the white coats. Jan

I know you must be so worried. I'm so sorry for all the sorrow you are feeling right now. Prayers and more prayers, that Pee Wee's ailments are not serious.

    Sweet Pee Wee!!

We are saying prayers that you will be okay. Maybe he is just having a little flare of the nasty stuff he had when you first got him.

    Try to stay positive Kim.

    lung worm

is rare but not uncommon! Please have kitty checked for lungworm! My cricket and moses survived it only because a new vet thought to check. She said they don't know where it comes from, likely raw meat (birds and mice), that momma brings them. It can't hurt to check!

Good for you - celebrating Pee Wee's life. Also hoping and praying he has plenty more of it to celebrate after you take him to the vet - that the news will be good.

Gee, when I first read the subject of this thread my heart sank because I thought that little Pee Wee had crossed the bridge. Now I understand. You've come a long way Pee Wee, don't give up now.

I can't imagine how hard this must be on you Kim. Thank goodness for the support of Pet Talk and Pet Talk Prayers. They really do help and I'm sending a generous portion your way.

I seen this thread and I thought the same thing as Slick did!

I will be praying and thinking of poor sweet Pee Wee. I just can't believe how much he has grown, and how much better he looks in the newer pictures.

I hope it is nothing serious, Kim. We are all with you.

Gorgeous Pee Wee...I know you're a fighter as you've survived the scary beginnings of your life because of your very excellent meowmie. Keep on fighting for your meowmie cause she loves you as do we.

    Kisses and head bumpies...
