    They amaze me...

As some of you have read, it has been a very difficult day for my husband and I today as we have just learned this morning he will be losing his job. (Thread is here for details..http://petoftheday.com/talk/showthre...threadid=51327)

I just wanted to share about Tommy and Tasha. I've been mostly upstairs in my office working on my computer, and David has been watching TV and resting downstairs. After awhile, I noticed every so often Tommy would walk in here, lay near my feet, or come up for a few scratches and then lay down. Then after awhile, he'd get up and leave. Then Tasha would come in and do the same thing. It took me a bit to notice it because I was working and so focused on that. I started noticing when I reached down to pet them when they came in here, their hair felt cooler. I started having a suspicion, because the den area is a cooler part of the house than the rest, and sure enough confirmed it..

They have actually been rotating, one going downstairs to be with Dad, one coming up to be with me, then switching places off and on, all afternoon. When one comes upstairs, the other seems to take cue and go downstairs. It's amazing, they are so amazing. Each are doing what they can to offer their comfort and support, to both of us. How incredibly touching. I just had to share this.

Awww! Dogs just seem to *know* don't they? One time, I was really sad, and Major started licking my hand and whining a bit.

-thank you Poppy for the avatar.

This is why, so often, dogs are better than people. They never judge, they just want you to be happy. You've got a couple of wonderful dogs there!

Hang in there, and hopefully everything will be ok!

Yes, our dogs are amazing, aren't they? They are the sweetest most loyal animals, always there when we need them, that's why they are our best friends.

Hang in there, things have a way of working out.

That unconditional love is amazing, isn't it, Jess? They just seem to sense what we need, when we need it, whether it be quiet love or fun "get off that chair and play with me" love. There is nothing better in the whole world, I'm convinced!!!!

Aw I just love your two. They're both great lil' puppers.

I always loved that line in Sound of Music about God opening a window, when he closes a door. So sending out positive thoughts and prayers for y'all that y'alls window is opened very soon.
