Anybody here shaving their head or cutting their hair for cancer? I am going to cut off 1 whole foot which will be quite a change for me! I have had long hair all my life but I'm gonna cut the 12 inches!

That's a lot of hair! I don't even have that much hair to cut off.. It's too short. I may consider doing this though, other people need it more then me. Anyone else doing it?

I think that is wonderful of you to do that. My daughter's friend, whose hair was quite long just did that too! I don't have long enough hair to do it, or I might!

I work for THE charitable org. up here that hosts a similar event. It's called Cops for Cancer and the RCMP officers get pledges and shave their heads.
It's a really big fundraiser up here and men and women alike go through with it.
I admire you for doing this. Have you thought about donating your hair so that wigs can be made out of it?

When my sister cut her hair in February (?not sure of the exact month...) she was going to donate it, but they wouldn't take it because she had dyed it with a store bought dye in November (?once again, I'm not sure). She was really dissapointed as she was cutting off about a foot.

Luckily, mine hasn't ever been dyed or permed or anything. Its just plain old hair. No style, no color (that was dyed) no nothing lol.

Lol lets hope so! But it said on a sheet that they need more than one "ponytail" of hair for a wig, they were explaining why they can't tell you who got your hair. But I wasn't worried about that anyway. A teacher in our school pledged me $50!!
