    Cleaning Day!

With my new job, I'm not home a lot. I work tuesday, wednesday, thursday, friday evenings and then sunday morning. I hate cleaning in the AM or when hubby is home, so I don't get a lot done Anywho, I decided last night that monday would be my cleaning day. I drifted off to sleep last night thinking about how much I would be getting done today. I had even picked out what movie to have playing while I did my cleaning (When Harry Met Sally). So, my husband left for work an hour ago, I SHOULD be cleaning, but what have I done so far today? Finished reading my book and puttered around on Pet Talk.... I'm addicted. I really am. But they saw admitting you have a problem is the first step towards overcoming it, right? So, until the day comes when I can overcome my problem, I'm going to happily sit at my computer, with my sweet furrball on my lap, and read about other people's pets. What a life Who cares about housework anyway... if I put it off long enough hubby will do it, right?

I have the same problem!!! I say to myself "I'll just check PMs quickly then get on with my housework" then 2 hours later I am still sitting here!!!

Luckily now I have a housemaid so there isn't too much to do! (I love her to bits, and the first thing she does every morning is play with the cats for 45 minutes - she is great!!!) PLUS no more worries when I go on vacation!!

Thanks Kay for my great sig & avatar!!!

I have tried this method. It doesn't seem to work!!! I've resigned myself to accepting if I want it clean, I'll have to do it myself, ugh. You'd think he was allergic to cleaning. My cleaning days are Saturday and Sunday. Although, it takes two to vacuum cause someone has to console the kitties while the other vacuums, lol. I promised myself I would keep the kitchen cleaned, bathrooms cleaned and vacuum once a week. I hate cleaning too As an only child with a mother who cleaned after her all the time, let's just say I have to fight the slob in me all the time. It's quite a battle.

Missy, I am addicted too and get so little done anymore! I used to try to be "Superwoman" and now fall short of it, so now I'm more like "Roseanne" - overweight, underpaid, and with three teens ruling the roost!

Debbie... add another Kim to list of people wanting a personal maid!!! PLease?!

I would like my name added to the list! I am so envious of anyone who has a housemaid. I absolutely hate housework! Probably because it takes time away from Pet Talk...hehehee.

Gee, maybe that is why my house is always such a mess.

LOL! I'm cracking up here. I've been on vacation for the past week and really did mean to get a lot of housework done. So what happened? Today's my last day of vacation and the floors haven't been vacuumed, the bathroom needs cleaning, there's a sinkful of dishes, the kitchen floor needs washing, the litter boxes need to be changed. So what am I doing? Puttering around on PT of course! I'll get to the house work soon, I promise, but I have to look at all the cute PT pictures first and then give the "kids" some luvin', and then, and then ....

What time did you say the maid would be here?

    I'd HATE having a housemaid...

Maybe you can train Boomer to clean while home alone?

OK it's PT's "fault" - the dishes are done, the kitchen floor is mopped, the bathroom is clean and I've even dusted! I'm off to a yoga class and then I'll tackle the sandy beaches with a litter change and vacuuming, followed by a nap and a manicure. PT can be addictive, it can also encourage houskeeping! Of course I can't make the bed because Mishi is looking oh-so-cute sleeping there and I just can't bring myself to disturb him, so all is almost normal in my house! Don't worry, it won't last!

OH NO!!!!! If I had a maid I'd have to clean up before she came because she'd think (Who said 'Rightly'?)
    I was a right slut!!!

Funny some days I think I'll do so much - and end up doing nothing - except chat on PT, make some cards and have fluffy love-ins!

Isn't that funny? I had the same reaction! I saw those designs in the floor and felt bad. I started CLEANING!! I even took up the litterpans, swept and mopped, put tthem back down completely cleaned, lysoled all the laundry room, bathroom and kitchen surfaces and caught up on ALL the laundry! There are even fresh sheets on the bed AND - the kitchen floor is spotless and Swiffered! I took the lint roller to all the furniture too! It'll last about a day. Oh yes and new filter in the furnace! I feel like Suzy Homemaker!
Oh and one thing about having a cleaning lady - we had one in Germany - but I ALWAYS cleaned before she came!!
