In one of the communities I joined in livejournal they are doing mini survey of their doggie, so I thought it's fun to do it here. Here is mine.

She turned 7 months last Wed (4/28/04)!!!

5 months.

--What color and size is/are your dog(s)?
She is a short hair wild boar (Yes, it is one of the colors)! A combination of red, black, brown... She looks one color indoor and a different color when she is outdoor. She is a mini and was 8.5lb last month when she was at the vet.

--What attracked you to the breed?
Great personality and t-i-n-y size!

I actually didn't want a Sheltie at all. But my mom had the final word and I ended up loving them more than the actual breed I wanted in the first place.

--What attracted you to the breed?
My dad decided he didn't want a big dog (after we had been looking at goldens, rotties, and GSDs), so a sheltie was the biggest "small" dog I could find that I was allowed to have and that I liked the look of. Luckily for me it all worked out

He's dark red (copper) and white. I'm not sure of the height. He weighs about 57 lbs.

--What attracked you to the breed?
Wolf-like looks, good personality, size (big but not huge), coat type (medium length, doesnt require trimming), activity level

Well with the boxer, I loved the breed because of many things...

-Also love the tail

And about Piddle and Wiggles, my mom was attacted to that breed But I am glad she was, as they are great little dogs with a whole lot of personality!

I loved their beautiful look and that they were somewhat independent.

*Annie is a yr. old (as of Nov.)
*Bailee was born on Dec. 19th, 2003, so she will be 5 months old on the 19th.
*Felony was born on Feb. 29th 2004, so he will be 10 weeks old on Sunday.

*Annie-- I've had her since she was 3 mos. old
*Bailee-- I've had her since she the day she was born.
*Felony-- He was about 7 1/2 weeks old when I got him, on April 19th, 2004.

--What color and size is/are your dog(s)?
*Annie is basically the color of a red dach., but just a little lighter in some places. She weighs 10 lbs.
*Bailee is black and tan silver dapple. She weighs 4 lbs.
*Felony is buckskin with a white mask, white chest, white feet, and a white tipped tail. He weighs about 14-15 lbs.

--What attracted you to the breed?
*Annie: I've always loved dachshunds and pugs, so what better than to get a mix of the 2 breeds. I wanted her the minute I saw her.
*Bailee's mom is Annie. I didn't know Annie was in heat and we were babysitting my friends full-blooded double dapple dachshund, and he got Annie pregnant. I didn't even know Annie was pregnant, because she didn't start gaining much weight until about the last week, when I saw the babies moving! Bailee is the best accident I've ever encountered. Lol.
*Felony: I've always loved pit bulls. They make wonderful pets and are very friendly despite what is said about them. I really wanted a big dog, so my mom got him for me, for my birthday. Pit bulls are one of my favorite breeds of dogs, and I'm so happy to have him.

~Just wanted to say that I didn't add Molly because she is my moms dog, and you asked about *my* dogs.

Simba is dark tan with a black muzzle. He's a medium sized dog.
Nala is light tan, with a white line on her nose and a bit of white on her paws.


--What attracked you to the breed?
I didn't go get them for their breed.
I got them for their personalities and I fell in love with both of them the second I got them.

Molly: She's a Sable and White Rough Collie, [A dark mahogany color with white markings ; and of course, the Rough Collies are the long-haired version; "Lassie" dogs.] She's a Large sized dog. [70 pounds]

Daisy: She's a Golden Retriever ['medium' golden in color with some lighter shades throughout her coat.] She's a Medium sized dog. [53 pounds]

--What attracked you to the breed?
Molly: I originally thought they were 'foo-foo' dogs, but, at the time, it's the only breed my mom would agree on. Molly is NO where near being a 'foo-foo' dog; she's a tomboy through and through.

Daisy: Why? Because she's a Golden Retriever, of course! The sheer beauty of the breed, personality, activity level, etc. They're perfect for me!

When we got Katie I never knew she was a schnauzer mix. I didn't even know what they were. When I kept reading up on them I just kept falling in love with there looks, personaltiy, smartness, everything. plus..........they look GREAT in a sweater!

Bitsy- poms have such a playful personality and are so pretty.
Buster- I actually didn't like chihuahuas, buster just kind of fell into my lap, now I adore the breed.
Charlie- everything about a min-pin is perfect, I adore them.

uhhh border collies? well I was trying to figer outwhat shadow was mixed with I came across border collies, I started looking into them more watching them at herding trials, and dogs sports on TV, when I got Happy I was hooked!

About a year and a half (already )

--How long have you had him/her/them?
Bit more than a year

--What color and size is/are your dog(s)?
Mickey is a sable and white Sheltie and I think, fairly large for his breed (frame-wise). He is about 17 inches at the shoulder and last time he went ot the vet he was 5 pounds overweight but has since been on a diet and been on more walks. I can tell he has lost his weight...especially the fat he stored during the winter.

--What attracked you to the breed?
The look of a herding dog always appealed to me and when I read up on them, I loved the personality and they seemed to fit our lifetsyle really well.
