One handsome little dude...

This is Antare. He's two and half now. He arrived here with his brother almost two years ago, when they were nine months old. Yup, they are foster failures. They are both very timid, but Antare has relaxed much more than Delta. Delta lives in the main pen, but wants very little to do with humans. Antare, on the other hand, will put up with me if it means he gets to run. Antare will pull all day if he can.

Right now he looks like he has mange (he's blowing his winter coat) so I "tortured" him with a brush for a long time this afternoon. He's a beautiful little dog. If he wasn't so timid he would have been adopted out of the shelter in no time. These are some after shots....

He's learning very slowly. I think some of his shyness and his brother's is likely genetic on top of their lousy puppyhoods. I don't think they'll ever be one of the dogs I can walk down mainstreet with, but they are happy little dudes!

The subject of this thread certainly isn't false advertising at all. He is one stunning dog.. as the rest of yours are.
