Arrrrrgggg HELP PLEASE

Sorry freckles I know you tryed to help, but i'm so dense its stupid, i cant get the Avator on the custon user text slot in the edit profile section!
Right i'll explain, Abby made me a moving avater, she atatched it in a post, i "right clicked", "save file as" saved it, uploaded it into photobucket, right clicked on the URL/IMG/TAG (tried them all) "copy" in the custum user slot, i pasted, but it wont allow more than 25 charactors????

For an avatar, you just need it on YOUR hard drive. Under the user cp, hit edit options, then "change avatar and show it where your file is!

Right it says it to big it has to be less than 30000 bytes? how do i make it small?
