Laura's new quilts arrived at the shelter!

Laura they were wonderful!! All the folks that work at the shelter can't get over you sending all these quilts! I wish I had gotten more pictures for you but it was crazy in there tonight! One of the full time employees is on vacation for the next two weeks so there was so much that needed to be done that I didn't have time to take a whole lot of photo's. They also had a poor young kitty that had been hit by a car and it broke my heart. I spent some time just talking to him until the vet arrived. They had given him one of your quilts but I didn't take his picture. I didn't want to scare him anymore than he already was.
Here are a few of the photos that I got. In all the pictures you will notice that they are settling down on the quilts as soon as I put them in there. For those of you who have never worked in a shelter environment I can promise you these quilts, small afghans, or plain blankets calm and soothe these babies so much. Maybe next week I will try to get a movie of the before and after!
    Enough yapping! Here they are!

Here is that adorable little kitten playing with one of the toys you sent! He was having a ball!

And just because I couldn't help myself here is one of the new babies at the shelter! He is one of four that belong to this momma. Is he cute or what??!!!

Thats all I was able to get tonight. Thank you again so much Laura!! You will never know how much it truly means for everyone involved! Thanks to EVERYBODY who helps the homeless babies in ANY WAY!!
God Bless Laura and have a good trip!!

They look like the hit of the day! Of course they would be, after they passed the hardest quality control measures!

That is so great. I love seeing the pictures of the kitties with their new blankets. It really inspires me to get back to making more.

Laura - you did great work!

CCL - that little kitten is adorable and the Maine Coon looking cat is gorgeous! I'd want to take that one home - of course I'd really want to take them all home. Thanks for sharing the pictures!

WOW! I am speechless!! Thank you so much for posting those before I left. Man, it does the heart so much good to see that work being enjoyed!! And that baby with the toy!! Awe!! Those were only $1 at the dollar tree and I would have sent more but the box was STUFFED!!

"WE" are glad to do this for the homeless animals and as I told you before, we had so much fun doing these, even Chester, Amy and Giz helped... I already have the fabric picked out for the next batch, just have run out of time for this time off... There will be more coming...

Those uncovered ones, weren't they soft?? See why my "kids" instructed me NOT to cover them. My thinking was also that you could use those for the sick or injured ones and then they could be bleached to reuse.. If they fall apart on the first washing, NO sweat... That was one of the 10 cent yard sale things I got.

THANKS so much for taking the time to post those for me. I am THRILLED!! Will sleep tonight dreaming of kitties far away... I will be in Kentucky Wednesday!! No time for a visit tho.. SHUCKS!

They do all seem to really like the blankets, but I can see why. I know they can sense the love that was "sewn" into them - no wonder they immediately calm down.

That teeny tiny baby kitten is sooo adorable! I love it when their ears are still flopped over.

However, who is that big white guy (I'm assuming)?? I want him soooo bad! He looks like he's had a tough time and really needs some lovin'. Sort of reminds me of Elvis who is one of my favorite PT kitties.

All these kitties are so much better off since CCL and Laura came into their lives - thanks guys.

T&P's mom that BIG white kitty is Cracker. He is a real sweetheart! He has been at the shelter for some time and my guess is he will be hard to adopt out. He is probably older(I'm guessing but he looks it) and he also reminds me of a kitty who has seen some pretty rough times. So far I have not had any problems with him and he loves neck scritchies!!! I feel sorry for the kitties like him because you have to wonder if they will ever get a home.

Oh wonderful!! I LOVE seeing the pictures of the kitties so obviously enjoying their blankets! I KNOW it makes their life that much happier and calmer! Your quilts are so cuddly and soft looking, Laura!! Thanks for the pics, CCL!!
Oh and Laura - have a safe trip!
    GREAT PICTURES!!

Oh and CCL - I am hungry for more shelter kitty stories when you get time! I love getting to "know" the babies you love on! They can have a bit of adoration from afar!
