I have a visitor

This little girl has been running around my street all morning. I saw her nearly get hit by cars more than once. I was finally able to catch her and now she's sitting on my lap. I'm working on some "Found Dog" signs. She seems to be well taken care of - nicely groomed, well behaved, well fed. She has a collar, but no tags. I hope someone out there is looking for her Any suggestions on anything else I could do besides signs? I don't recognize this dog at all and I know most of the dogs in the neighborhood. If I don't get a responce on the signs today I'll put an ad in the paper tomorrow.

I'd also call the police to see if anyone's reported a lost dog. Your shelters may be closed tomorrow. But as soon as you can, contact your local shelters to check for inquiries. She's such a cutie!!! Thanks so much for helping this little girl Hopefully her owners will turn up soon! You're a hero!!!

Aww she is so adorable! I'm very happy you've taken her in for now. I was going to suggest putting an ad in the paper. I suppose that's about all you can do besides the signs. Sandra's ideas are pretty good. Try calling your shelters as soon as you can. Good luck!

We found her home As I was putting up the signs we asked any one who was around if they recognized her. One man did and told us where he thought that she lived. Sure enough that was her home The lady was so happy to see her (her husband was out looking for the dog while we were putting up the signs). So I'm happy now The dog's name is Gigi! I thought that was funny I've met two cute pups named Gigi now

What a wonderful thing you did for that precious pup and her family! Oh if it were my dog and I had been out looking and stressing over her, and I found out someone like you took her in and kept her safe and were looking for her home, I'd just want to hug you!
