We Finally Got Snow in Tennessee!!

Well last night, I said I wouldn't believe the weather person unless I seen. Guess what we finally got that snow I was wanting. Of course we lost our power for about two hours.

We are supposed to get more snow!! Be alright if we don't lose our power again.

I live in Knoxville and it just started snowing here about and hour and half ago and it's beautiful!! The ground is already covered and the roads are starting to get covered. We've had some of the biggest snow flakes I've ever seen falling too. I love it!!!

Seem like ours started about 4 or 5 this morning, and it really done some snowing here. jazzcat, have you had any snow this year?

This is the first snow we have got this year, it was great! We did lose out power for about 2 hours. It seem to just stick to the trees, and the top of the house. Tree limbs broke and fell on powerlines. I think we are supposed to get more.

Ann, I love it! I went out in for a while, didn't fall and break anything! I took Grover out and she started freaking out! So I just stuck her down on the porch where there was snow and got the pic of her little footprints.

I want to go back out and make some more pictures later on. I think it is trying to melt some, but if it stays cold, we will have treacherous roads tonight.

Mario is staying in his house today, he don't want any part of the snow. I guess he don't want to get cold feet.

Willie - we've had 2 dustings and each of those were the kind that fell overnight and melted before noon. This is the best one we've had so far but it's nothing like yours. North of us towards KY is getting a lot and of course across the plateau and in the Smokys but here in west Knoxville we've got about an inch so far and over in south and east Knox they don't even have a dusting - very strange but that is life in the East TN Valley.

We're hoping to drive up to Gatlinburg and the mountains tomorrow if the roads are open. I want to get some good snow pics.

Wow! That is a lot of snow! Beautiful!!! Do you get lots of snow in TN?

Poppy, this is the first snow we have got this winter. We have had maybe one slight dusting and that is it. And then this morning I woke up and it was snowing so hard, you could barely see anything. It was just beautiful!

It has stopped snowing now, but they are talking about more tonight unless they have changed the forecast. I didn't believe we would get this one. LOL, and then we did. Our power was out for about two hours. But I love it!

We don't really get that much here where I live. So I am going to enjoy while I can!!

Well living in Montreal, snow like that is nothing to us.

I have to admit though, it looks so pretty on the trees and I enjoyed viewing all your pictures. They made some beautiful scenery.
